Moon Strike released a new map showcase last April 22, 2022 on its different social media platforms. In this strategic play-to-earn game where players must use skill and intelligence to raid for gather resources, trade with other players, and survive in a hostile environment of the terraformed Moon, it is vital for the ingame map to be both immersive and interactive.

The video showcased the AAA quality of a fully volumetric map and dynamic landscapes developed with Unreal Engine. Moon Strike’s dynamic map update means that all players can transform and terraform landscape using their weapons, creating player-made land features that will give them either the upper hand or the disadvantage when the game is fully released. This dynamic map feature will go hand in hand with the strategic gameplay of this FPS as well as base building. The team’s volumetric map which is rare for game developers to use due to its complexity brings more depth to the Moon Strike environment.

It is expected that the huge map will have over 16x16 km playable scope, giving players the surreal feeling of being on the surface of the moon as the team promised. Curious about what the map update looks like? Check out their sneak peek right here:

With Moon Strike team’s constant weekly updates, fans are wondering what else the much-awaited game has in store for them before its release this year and the team continues to keep them all guessing!
